My latest three conference talks
Bonus day 27: Slides and videos from my last three conference talks about testing
Hello there,
People sometimes ask me testing questions that go beyond specific Cypress commands and solutions, like “How long should a good test be?” and “Should I still write unit tests, if I cover all my major features with end-to-end tests?” Recently, I have delivered a few presentations about testing, here are the links to the slides and videos if available.
“Testing Pyramid Makes Little Sense, What We Can Use Instead” together with Roman Sandler covers our opinion on the testing pyramid, and how to improve the confidence the tests deliver at the end of the day. Find the slides at https://slides.com/bahmutov/pyramid-testjsummit and the video at the TestJSSummit page.
“Questions to Your Burning Testing Questions“ is a fun talk with Andrae Ambrose where we answer ten common questions like “How long should the test be? How do you push for more testing? What are the red flags of a bad test?” The slides are at https://slides.com/bahmutov/enterprise-ng and I will post a video when it is published.
“How We Introduced Automated Web App Testing in A Large Organization” shows the work I have done at MercariUS to establish a solid end-to-end web testing that works for everyone. Find the slides at https://slides.com/bahmutov/react-next/.
Tip: as the conference videos are posted on YouTube, I add them to my “talks” channel. Subscribe to the playlist to be notified when a new video is added, this way you can watch it while pumping iron in your garage.
